What Makes Young Creators Different?
At Young Creators, children don’t simply learn how to paint or draw.
They learn how to imagine, design, solve problems, generate ideas, and bring those ideas to life.
Through weekly creative challenges, hands-on projects, and real-world design experiences,
members develop confidence, curiosity, perseverance, and the ability to think outside the box.
Art is one of the tools we use, but creativity is the skill we’re developing.

spent more than 22 years creating artwork
collected throughout the United States. Through Young Creators,
he is bringing his passion for creativity, imagination,
and idea development to the next generation.

Meet Barclay Gresham / Instructor
Barclay Gresham brings together two things she has loved throughout her life: children and art.
A Mountain Brook native and 1993 graduate of Mountain Brook High School, Barclay attended Auburn University before earning her degree in Elementary Education from UAB in 1999. She has spent decades working with children through after-school programs and has always loved encouraging their creativity, confidence, and individuality.
Barclay’s own love of art began when she was a child and eventually grew into a successful art career and business that she owned and operated for 20 years. During that time, she created and sold more than 8,000 original paintings, turning a childhood passion for art into a thriving professional career.
After stepping away from art professionally to pursue other business ventures, Barclay is excited to return to one of her greatest passions—this time by sharing her experience and love of creativity with the next generation.
As an art teacher, Barclay’s goal is about much more than completing a project. She wants children to experiment, use their imaginations, develop their own artistic style, and gain confidence through creating something that is uniquely theirs. Most importantly, she hopes to help each child develop a lifelong love of art and keep that creative spirit alive as they grow.
Barclay has two grown children, Brooke and Dru, and has called the Mountain Brook community home for many years.

Young Creators is a membership-based program designed for children who love to imagine, build, create, and think outside the box. Members attend one 2-hour studio session each week and participate in engaging projects that encourage creativity, confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving.
Membership Investment: $250 per month
Your child will be enrolled in a specific day of the week, and their space will be reserved exclusively for them each week.
